BRAVO Client - Printers settings

The BRAVO Client application prints directly onto printer ports, both local or belonging to network. To print tickets (ticket printer) or boarding cards (boarding card printer), the printers specified for these tasks need to be installed. To print reports and lists any printer connected to the client computer may be used by choosing one of the printers that appear in the print dialogue window of the browser.

We will now concentrate on the settings for printers of tickets and of boarding cards. These printers are used only for their specific tasks.

Settings

To access printer settings, entry to the system has to be made using a valid sales point (user) code and password. This will allow you to configure the settings of the printers for the relevant sales point (please note that the setting affects the sales point and not the client computer).

Once a valid entry has been made into the BRAVO system, you may access the options window of the application. The Printer tab lists two types of printers: the ticket printer and the boarding card printer, as is shown in the following diagram.

In either case you may choose to use either a local or a network printer. For local printers, choose the port the printer is connected to (a COM port in the case of a boarding card printer, or an LPT port in the case of a ticket printer). For network printers, specify its route by using the text box "Path".

NOTE : if you wish to test print a file, select "network printer" followed by the complete path name of the file to be printed.

VERY IMPORTANT:  ensure that the browser is correctly set to execute this task (see chapter "Browser settings") and that all requirements of the Performance test of the application have been successfully completed.
